Warrior

Post has published by Novocaine

Warriors are the class par excellence in hand-to-hand combat, the warrior can handle all kinds of weapons except long-range ones. They can use medium shields and metal armor in both rings and plates, reaching very high Armor Class values, making them difficult targets for anyone without magic attacks to take down. Warriors usually rely on brute force, which allows them to have a lot of life and inflict lethal blows, particularly when inflicted with poisoned weapons. The possible combinations for a warrior are extremely varied, precisely due to its ability to rely on a wide range of equipment, which however make the warrior a class that tends to be more expensive to maintain than the others. All warrior equipment can be made by a Blacksmith.

Statistics

The main stat of the warrior is strength as it affects the damage dealt by physical hits.

Next comes dexterity as it affects the speed at which the warrior hits the target. The greater the dexterity, the greater the speed with which the blows are delivered, this is valid for both one-handed and two-handed weapons. As far as intelligence is concerned, it is of no particular interest to this class.

The most common values used for strength are 147/148, this is because by putting 1 of intelligence you will have 102/101 points of dexterity available from which we will then have to subtract the dexterity removed from the plate. A plate with a shield decreases the dexterity by 12 while without a shield by 11. So by choosing 147 strength we will always be sure to be able to deliver hits at maximum speed even with shield and weapon, on the contrary with 148 strength we will have maximum speed only with two weapons hands (or one-handed but without shield).
